It never fails. When I talk to people I always get the question, “what is the best technique to use for manifesting what I desire?” That question always comes up.
Usually my answer to that is simple. There really isn’t a technique that is better than the other. They are all designed to get you into the state of your wish desired. And since that’s the case, the technique that works best for you is the best technique.
With that being said, the technique that works best for me is Nevilles “I remember when” technique. It’s now my go to technique for anything that I desire.
So what is the “I remember when” technique?
In a lecture Neville did in 1968 he describes how he came to this technique.
Below is a quote from that lecture.
“When I receive a great revelation concerning the creative power of God I cannot keep it to myself, but must share it with all that will listen. Here is one I received many years ago. I found myself, in Spirit, in the interior of a stately mansion in New York City. It was the kind of home the great financial giants lived in at the turn of the century. Fully awake and aware, I was visible to the three generations who were present. The son spoke to his children saying: ‘Your grandfather would stand on an empty lot and say: I remember when this was an empty lot.’ Then he would paint a word picture of his desire for that lot so vividly that those who heard him could see it completed right before their eyes. This is the grandfather who made the fortune we are now enjoying.”
I awoke, recorded the experience, returned to sleep, and re-dreamed the dream – only this time I was the grandfather. Speaking to those present I said: ‘I remember when this was an empty lot.” Then I pictured the building placed there so vividly the very stones molded themselves into the form I envisioned.”
Since using this technique it has been extremely easy for me to make changes in my assumptions. It works extremely well and it can be used anytime and anywhere.
But why does it work so well?
This is why. When saying I remember when, you are evoking your memory. You’re stating that you remember an event or circumstance happening. If you make that statement with feeling and use your sense’s, your subconscious will actively work to “fill in the blanks” of that “memory”. It will work to bring you more evidence of that “memory”.
So not only are you evoking a memory with this you are also affirming a present tense.
Example. “I remember when I lived in my car and now I’m in a beautiful home”
Your subconscious is now working to support the memory while at the same time it is working to give you more evidence of living in a beautiful home.
This can be used with anything, anytime and anywhere.
Let’s say you’re driving a car you don’t like and you have your thoughts on a new car. You could say, “I remember when I used to drive that crappy car and now I have this new car”. “ I remember when I first saw so and so and now we are dating”. “I remember when I got kicked out of the house and now we are back together again”.
It can be used in any desire that you have. “I remember when I used to only make $2,000 a month”. You don’t even need to say you make more. Just by stating that when you only made $2,000 your are implying that now you make more. You are coming from the present tense going to the past and then bringing it back to the present as a memory. Your present is different than the past in your imagination so the subconscious wants to affirm that and will create bridges of incidence to confirm that.
Use your imagination as much as you can. It is the greatest gift God has given to us. Also, use all the sense’s that you can when you use this. Envision being there, see it, smell it, feel it and hear it. When you add feeling and emotion to this it imprints on the subconscious mind. Always use feeling when imagining anything you desire. Always!
Neville put it this way which is probably one of his greatest quotes.
“Learn to control your wonderful imagination and you will discover that the whole vast world is yourself pushed out”
Use the “I remember when” technique to help you push your assumptions and perceptions out into your world. Use your imagination to your advantage instead of against you and design your life the way you want it to be. Make it fun by using the “I remember when” technique. It’s simple and quick and can be used anytime, anywhere and on anything.
You’ve got this, Anthony.
