I’m seeing more and more people asking this question. “What is a good affirmation for………?”
Folks. Too many of you are depending solely on affirmations to manifest what you desire. STOP IT!!!
Doing affirmations the way most of you are is not going to get your SP back. They aren’t going to change your job outlook either.
Affirmations should only be used to help you get into the state of the wish desired. That’s it. Nothing more.
Every day I get these questions that pop up in my Facebook feed where people are asking others for help with affirmations. It’s alarming how many people are leaning on affirmations to do the heavy lifting.
These poor souls are pleading for help because they have been “saying their affirmations for six months with no movement”.
Either these people aren’t being taught what manifesting really is or they aren’t listening or applying what they are being taught. It’s probably a bit of both.
It’s especially frightening because a lot of these people are from groups that rely heavily on Neville Goddard teachings.
Neville never said to go on affirmation rampages, or to say them out loud over and over again or to lean so heavily on them.
Time after time all I see is “I’m doing these affirmations, what other affirmations should I be doing?”
Folks, they aren’t going to help you. What I’m seeing are people trying to “affirm against” something.
All you’re doing when you do that is you’re putting focus on what you don’t want and what happens when you put your attention on something? It manifests. Your subconscious gives you more of what you’re paying attention to.
Don’t try to “affirm against” something. Simply turn away from it and give it no attention what so ever and then turn to your wish fulfilled and put your attention there. Persist in that thought of the wish fulfilled. Live from that thought. Don’t think “of “ the wish. Always think “from” the thought or image of the wish fulfilled.
If you really want to know how to use an affirmation properly get Neville’s book “Awakened Imagination & The Search” and go to chapter five “The Coin of Heaven” and study it. Don’t just read it once and get stuck on the one short paragraph that so many people do and say “See, Neville says to use affirmations”.
Read that entire chapter. And listen to what he says.
Nowhere does he say to “say them out loud”.
He’s talking about your inner speech. We all talk to ourselves. It’s those thoughts that we have all day long. We even have inner conversations with others and ourselves.
What Neville is saying to do is to change those inner conversations. Use your imagination to change those inner conversations.
Your subconscious doesn’t use words. It uses images, impressions and emotions. That’s why when I use affirmations I use them to evoke and emotion or feeling. I use them to paint a picture in my mind of my desired wish. I don’t run around saying “I am wanted” or “I am loved”. I take those thoughts inside and I feel I am wanted. I experience being loved. I hear my wife telling me she loves me. I hear other people saying they love me.
That is what Neville is saying to do.
Never ever ever do I use a negative in my thoughts. I don’t use the phrase “affirm against”. Those are fighting words. Who wants to fight? Not me. I want to love and be loved. I want to focus my attention on those things that are lovely, wholesome, and good. Remember, what you focus on the most you will get.
The more you simply use your voice to try and sway your mind to change, the more your subconscious is going to give you more of the lack of what you are seeking.
You’re putting your attention on the fact that you don’t have it but you want it. You are actually affirming that you don’t have it and since your conscious mind knows that is the truth, it will allow that fact of lack into your subconscious. Thus you are simply affirming what you don’t have.
Try this instead. Neville said one of his best ways to manifest was to use “I remember when”. What this does when you use this is, it automatically creates an imaginary memory that the conscious mind won’t fight and so it lets it into the subconscious and then the subconscious goes to work to find more evidence to support that. You’re changing your world from the inside first like you’re supposed to.
So let’s say you’re in no contact with your SP for six months. You would simply say “I remember when so and so reached out and texted me to see how I was doing and now we communicate every day”. But don’t just say those words. Feel them. How would it feel to remember that day when you received that text? What was that day like? What time was it? What were you doing?
This folks is living from the end in a memory.
It’s saying the fact that a positive thing happened already and you’re looking back at it from the present.
Before I got the car if my dreams I would often say to myself “I remember when I drove my dream car home for the first time”. “I remember what it felt like to sit in the seat and to feel the steering wheel in my hands for the first time”. “I remember what it felt like pulling into the neighborhood and my neighbors watching me”.
Those were my inner conversations. I felt it all. I experienced it over and over again. I used all my senses over and over again living from that end in a memory.
Then I got my dream car.
Never did I affirm against not having enough money or how hard it might be to find the exact car since so few were made. I simply lived from the end.
When a negative thought started to come in I simply turned away from it not giving it any attention and just simply went back to my end scene or one of my “I remember when” thoughts.
Try it for yourselves. Stop trying to fight yourselves by trying to use will power to overcome inner conversations. Stop trying to use repetition to fight your conscious mind. You’ll just tire yourself out and quit altogether in utter desperation.
Use your imagination to constantly live from the end. I do it all day long and things just manifest for me now by simply thinking about what I desire.
Move into the state of the wish fulfilled and persist in that state. That is how you change your world. By changing your inside first.
You’ve got this. Anthony.
